Hidden Places Around Portsmouth: Ascend

Local resident and photographer John Callaway gives us a glimpse into Portsmouth’s hidden places with his stunning photography. This week, he shares a solo image that didn’t make it into last week’s final cut, but remains a favourite of the photographer, and we can see why.

For no other reason than I really like this image, but it doesn’t ‘fit’ with the rest…

Oh, and I thought of this:

“Stairs,” Valkyrie said, disappointed.
“Not just ordinary stairs,” Skulduggery told her as he led the way down. “Magic stairs.”
“Really?”
“Oh, yes.”
She followed him into the darkness. “How are they magic?”
“They just are.“
“In what way?”
“In a magicky way.“
She glared at the back of his head. “They aren’t magic at all, are they?”
“Not really.”
