National Museum of the Royal Navy and Portsmouth Historic Dockyard: Remembrance Reflections (Thur 11th Nov, 11.30am – 4pm and 11.30 – 3pm)
Join the National Museum of the Royal Navy at the Portsmouth Historic Dockyard for a day of remembrance with stories and poems by members of the Royal Navy throughout history. Go to HMS M33 from 11.30am – 3PM, or go to HMS Gallery from 11.30am – 4pm. This event is free with a valid attraction ticket. Find out more here.
Armistice Day Service (Thur 11th Nov, 10.55am)
A short service to mark Armistice Day will begin on Thursday 11 November at 10:55am at the WWI memorial, Guildhall Square (Cenotaph). It will include a two-minute silence, which will start at 11am.
During the service, there will also be a selection of readings and poems.

We Will Remember Them Lecture (Fri 12th Nov, 7pm)
Join Portsmouth Grammar School as they host a lecture by Philip Stevens on ‘Nurses, Spies and the Home Front: Women in the Great War’. Come and find out about the women who helped in the war effort. Find more information here.

The D-Day Story: Paint a Pebble Poppy (Sun 14th Nov, 11am – 2pm)
The D-Day Story is hosting a family-friendly event where people are encouraged to paint a poppy on a pebble for Remembrance Sunday. Once painted take a look around the museum and explore the history of D-day. Take a picture of the pebble poppy and share it with them on their social media to create a virtual collage. Southsea Remembrance Service: Portsmouth Ride of Remembrance 2021 (Sun 14th Nov, 9am – 10am)
Join Southsea Remembrance Service as they ride from Lakeside North Harbour to Southsea Common for the Remembrance. Find more information here.
Southsea Remembrance Service: RBRL Remembrance Service 2021 (Sun 14th Nov, 10am)
The Royal British Legion Riders Branch are hosting a Memorial Service on Southsea Common, and are inviting motorbike, scooter and trike riders as part of their annual memorial. Find more information here.
Remembrance Sunday Service and Parade (Sun 14 Nov, 10:30am-12pm)
- The event will start in the Guildhall Square at 10:30am by a parade of veterans, military personnel and youth groups.
- At 11:00am there will be a two-minute silence followed by the service.
- The event will end with a wreath laying ceremony at the Cenotaph.

We’ll Meet Again – Remembrance Sunday with The Southsea Belles & Guests (Sun 14th Nov, 12pm – 8pm)
Join The Southsea Belles & guests at The Gaiety Southsea on Remembrance Sunday. Listen to the best of ’40s and ’50s music while commemorating Remembrance Day. Food is available to purchase at the venue. Find more information here.
